As part of our virtual markets we’re interviewing makers from across the North East. Shop local and shop small. If you’d like to get involved or help out the local creative community you can check out the #virtualmakeandmend hashtag on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Pauline Fraser has been a regular at our markets for just over a year now but has been making for over 10 years. She works in a wide range of medium including textiles, hand bags, felted and dyed scarfs, felted accessories buttons, handmade paper and hand bound notebooks.
We asked Pauline some quick questions about what she’s been up to recently.
Have you started a new project during lockdown?
No, increasing skills and experimentation of existing.
Do you have any advice for new makers?
You are good enough.
Do you have any suggestions for ways we can connect and promote as a community?
Support each other to sell online.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I’m planning to get back to making and selling through my Facebook page. Possibly preparing for Christmas/gift markets. Am loving the sense of community growing where I live. I’m planning some simple craft videos for neighbours and their children.
